Mbeya

Last week we decided to explore more of Tanzania, so we headed North to a town on the boarder of Malawi and Zambia. After a 7 hour bus ride we arrived in Mbeya. A friend of a friend works there so we got to stay at his house. The house was right out of town with a beautiful garden in front and a tall mountain behind. Almost rivaling the view was the fact that the house had a toilet, oven, running water, and 100 movies. And to top it all off the town had delicious Indian food and ice cream. So you can guess how we spent the week: watching movies and eating good food! But from every point in town you could see the beautiful mountain, which was calling our name. So for Valentines Day we decided to hike to the top for views of town, Malawi, Zambia, and the surrounding valleys. At 2,620 meters, it was also the tallest mountain that Arthur has ever climbed! It was the perfect day to end our relaxing trip to Mbeya.
